Will my car sound any different?

Featured Replies

Only has to be visually there if car is subject to a full emissions test.

Diesels are only subject to a smoke level test, therefore do not visually require a cat for an MOT pass (y) researched before installing my decat :)

In theory, more power, more noise. But not sure how far you can really say thats true.

But I would imagine with the same exhaust setup, a 160bhp car taken to 220bhp will be louder.

Thanks buddy :) it was 130 (standard) then 150 (with **** remap) it'll be 200 now until clutch and flywheel go, then 230-240 :). Hoping for a decent roar :)

This is on my MPI for several reasons: I have an ironic sense of humour, I had it lying around, a soldering iron cuts plastic easily, and it makes the old skool 8 valve sound more old skool, but thankfully only under acceleration

230-240 seems unlikely on just a hybrid and a map?
