Pd140 engine ?

Featured Replies

Does the oil pump problem still exist in the latter cars looking at a 2009 Octavia 4x4 pd140 with 120k on It I remember reading about the balance shaft failure etc on the earlier pd140 motors is this still the case on a 2009 car ? Certain engine codes ?

The oil pump problem is exclusive to the Superb MK1 only, the Octavia and Superb MK2 use a totally different engine so do not have the problem and never did have including early examples.

rather not link it untill the deal is seald tbh just incase someone beats me to get there with the££

I went the other way - PD 140 Octy L&K (57 plate) to 1.9 PD TDI 105 in my Superb Greenline (09 plate). I didn't really notice the difference (a bit top end, but they were both similar to drive). Oh and an extra gear in the Octy.

I do know the Greenline was MUCH better on fuel, but our driving style changed (coincided with a move, that meant every journey was longer...).
