Couple of things I have noticed about my blackline on a recent trip to Glasgow.

After 80mph there is a whistle sound

At night I seem to be getting flashed at (a lot) to the point I'm thinking I have continental headlights fitted.

Has anyone else noticed this on their blackline.

There is a known fault on the Octavia. The seal around the passenger side rear quarter light window isn't very good which on some cars results in a whistle at higher speeds.

It sounds like your headlights might need realigning.

Although there are still alot of numpties out there that don't know what DRL's are and mistake them for foglights. On the vRS the LED DRL's dim to double up as sidelights so are still on with dipped headlights at night.

Firstly tut tut and secondly a quick search shows a similar thread and a dealer fix for the noise

On the light front, have you been close behind something to see the levels of the headlights to make sure the right is lower than the left?

Or the same level but make sure you have the kick up lighting the left hand side of your road.

wind noise can also be the front grill, again just do a search there is a dealer fix.

Thanks guys. I had my lights up against a wall but can't say I noticed if it was higher or not. Ill check again.

I get flashed in my blackline but the lights are aligned lower than my last car so i can only presume that it is the drl's people think are fog lights

I also have the whistling problem. I was driving through Scotland last week and once I hit eighty MPH the whistle started. I thought it was coming from top of windscreen but che clef the seal and all appears ok. Very annoying though.

M8 got stopped with the police they thought I had my spotlight on they didnt relise that it was leds.

no i can do 140 and the whistle is still there however mine stats at 60.

The whistle sounds like the front grill issue a lot of us have had, nd there is a dealer fix for it, the thread is on here somewhere.
