Moo-ing rear brakes

Featured Replies

Right my rear brakes have started making a moo when driving forward between 5 and 30 mph and its getting annoying. camber shims are fitted. i have 256mm rear brakes off an octavia vrs. can anyone tell me the part numbers for the fabia and octavia rear brake moo kit they get from a dealer.

which to use?

I too have the 256mm rears.

If you mean the rubber bush kit then don't bother with it IMO. They are not cheap!

I have that kit and the rear brakes still make a terrible noise when wet and reversing. I intend to swap for helper springs at some point.

Could be worth putting a slight chamfer on the leading edges of the pads. I've used that to get rid of noises on other cars.

I also take the edge off new pads when fitting them to reduce noise.
