What type of gains will a pd150 give before and after a map?

Running stage 1 map already will a simple bolt up be ok untill mapping?

Yeah will be fine, no gains before but around 190 when mapped.

What power roughly will stage 1 on a pd130 be then mate?

Around 170bhp

About 175 is maximum safe amount.

Ahh well there's a local lad breaking a pd150 golf and the turbos up for £175 so for 20ish bhp wondering wether it's worth the money

Good price for a Garret PD150 that, but depends on mileage and state of the internals. You'll need to factor in a remap if you want that extra power

Remap £150 as I know the guy and know the guy selling the turbo aswell so bonus so for £300 ish and a front mount from seat cupra for £250 should hopefully be good for 200 ? Is that right or is that pushin the 150

I wouldn't want to push anymore than 190 on a stock 150. The cooler will certainly aid the setup in warm weather though.

If the intercooler is too small for the power your running what would the consequences be? Would you have to take it easy in hot weather? (Not that that's often in this country) :giggle

You will need pipe work for that cooler aswell mind. I would of snapped that pd150 up for that price, but as said milage etc is good to know.

You will get heat soak and the ecu pulls back the power etc i think.

Yeah heat soak & a loss of power when temps get hot. 190 is the limit I'd run on a smic. That said, unless your fully smashing it for a long period of time in the heat you'll not suffer a huge amount.

I think a map to 190 will have to do for now no bout the increase over stage 1 will be good but don't want to push the clutch either

I bought my hybrid fabia off another member on here, and he had replaced a damaged Forge FMIC with the standard side intercooler!!!!

Using the Torque app, it didn't take much to move the inlet temps into the fifties, and hard accelerating easily got 90 inlet! Up hill, I even got 100 degrees

It was basically unusable on a standard intercooler.

Even a standard car will push inlet's up to 70 or 80 degrees (noted on my missus' Ibiza PD130 car), say up hill or prolonged hard driving.

Exactly the same as me then, i've got a pd150 hybrid, pd160 air intake milltek exhaust and a map, guna get an uprated clutch too I think, may aswell seen as I plan on keeping it for a good few years now after spending all this lol

Lol always the same you never get your money back . I had over double what my fabias got in me scooby but the torque is miles more so don't want massive power to rip the gearbox apart cos I've noticed parts for these arnt cheap lol

Haha, I'm only 19, and one hell of a heavy foot so I've got to try my best to look after it gearboxes usually come in at about £6-700 :( plus labour lol
