312mm, bare with me

Featured Replies

Yes, I know there are a million and one threads but need some definate info.

Whilst changing the brake fluid I managed to shear off a bleed nipple on a front caliper. To cut a long story short and two broken easy-outs I think that at some point the same thing has happened previously so it has been helicoiled to take a bleed nipple. Rather than mess around getting it done again I just going to go down the 312mm upgrade route. I'll get the calipers from gbautomotive and am looking at ECP for disks and pads.

Looking on ECP will choosing something like an Audi TT 3.2 2008 give me the correct 312 fitment for use with the ebay callipers?

No use an earlier car as the mk2 has a different PCD.

2002 Quattro 225hp should give you the right ones.

Thanks, what's the difference between the pagid front pads on there?

I can see a set of 312mm with almost new discs and pads deliverd for £140.

Where can you see that :p?

Nice one dude, I owe you a beer :)

No problem :) good luck.

Im watching them lol...

I sent him an email last week saying will you take £100 and i'll collect them cash. Had no reply so picked up a different set about an hour ago for £140 with a few other bits and bobs. Will post pics and make a thread also.

Hopefully he replies to me as I just bought front and rears lol!!

Don't wanna pay £40 postage though, so hopefully he'll bin the rear discs and combine it in one parcel :)

Possibly, its just up the road from me so no postage would be needed. I've already done the rear upgrade or els i'd have bought them

Both also!

My dealings with gbautomotive have been excellent.

Quick delivery and excellently refurbished calipers and carriers.

Literally as new condition. Very happy :)

Got brand new pagid 312 discs with matching pads for £80

via ebay.

I got new pagid discs and pads with my 312 calipers etc tonight for the £140, hoping they are quite good tbh!

My calipers are also refurbished and freshly painted with my choice of colour (red) and come with a new tin for touch ups. Bargin when you know the people! Haha

Great value Hutchy

Snap both my 312mm and rear 256mm calipers were from gbautomotive can't fault the bloke excellent service, one caliper got damaged in transit and he replaced it no problem.

Replacement pads and discs I bought Pagid items so you don't get any surface rust, from euro car parts. Been on roughly a year no rust at all apart from on the contact point from when the cars been stood a day or two and it gets cleaned off in a hundred yards.
