The best colour?

Featured Replies

OK, having tied down my choice for the future Superb Elegance to a 170 CR (hopefully in the next 4 weeks :sun:) what is the opinion for the best colour/interior combination?

I do quite like the Rosso/Ivory - but what are your views?

Martin

Hi, Martin,

This one's been done to death recently, I'm afraid, but I don't mind reminding everyone that black coachwork, black interior, black tyres, black suit, black shades and a black attitude makes you look like a member of the Serbian Mafia. Which is the way to go, obviously.

Or a hearse !!

So if I went for the Rosso/Ivory option I would need an Ivory suit and a red face to make it work.... hmm...

While I respect Neds view , I think he is wrong ;) clearly Storm Blue is the only colour that suits the Superb.

Or ,,, the colour that makes you go , oh yes , that's the right one for you :)

It looks jolly good in Petrol Blue......but I'm biased.

I'm biased too - see here. :)

The Combi, in white. Nuff said.

Mods - please close ;)

With a question like this you're going to get tons of personal preferences. Best go with what YOU like.

BTW...I'm driving Rosso/Ivory and think its fab.

I have capaccino with black leather which is actually growing on me. However there is an Elegance in West End in Rosso and ivory leather which simply looks gorgeous. Not sure how easy the ivory would be to keep spotless when its a taxi.

Rosso Brunello / Ivory is the best looking when the car is clean (and if you can ‘get away’ with an ivory interior), however once dirty it is probably the drabbest colour available, for this reason I did not choose Rosso… as well as it would not look as good with black leather - you need the contrast IMO, dark paintwork and ivory leather or light paintwork and black leather.

It looks jolly good in Petrol Blue......but I'm biased.

I agree fully, again, I'm biased.

Its a great colour that stays looking great even when covered in road grim.

My Greenline 1

Amethyst with Black interior.

Great colour when clean (a mixture of grey, silver and light purple) that equally doesn't show the dirt between washes and I've had a couple of cars with light interiors and they really are too much hard work to keep looking nice.

It looks jolly good in Petrol Blue......but I'm biased.

Having seen's 100and thirty's car in the flesh, I can tend to agree, it does look good but................................:

The Combi, in white. Nuff said.

...for me the contrast of black interior and white exterior works really well.

But as said, it's your car, your choice!

Agreed!

Capuccino for me on the Estate. Understated but modern and clean.

The Rosso always makes me think of an old guy behind the wheel with leather driving gloves.

I AM an old guy behind the wheel...and d-ya know what...its the devils own job to get leather driving gloves these days!!!!!!!!

I AM also an OLD GUY and my second Superb was Rosso / Black trim. Latest is Superb Elegance Estate Cappuccino / Ivory trim perfect colour combination.

I must look out my old driving gloves, they used to keep your hands warm before heaters, you youngsters have it so cosy and warm.

My missus always says the Rosso paint and ivory leather are too old man for me but I quit like the combination. However, I saw a petrol blue one three weeks go at the dealers and thought it looked pretty special. :-)

I have to say that ALL colour combinations look good in the dealers showroom... that's why most of like to be there!
