Anybody got or had a similar fault ?

Featured Replies

Since owning my Vrs I've noticed when I open the drivers door the interior light and the puddle light in the door doesent come on ive checked the bulbs and they are fine.

However when I open the passenger door the puddle light and interior light come on

I haven't investigated it past checking the bulbs

Any ideas would be appreciated :)

The terminals on the light itself were quite corroded on one of mine. Remove the plug and see if there's any green snot...

Thanks for the quick reply I shall have a look after work :)

Drivers door lock microswitch.

Mine has always been like it. 3 options. Replace entire lock. Buy an aftermarket microswitch and solder it into the lock mechanism. Live with it.

Door switch as said, be careful not to lock your keys inside lol!

I went with replacing the switch with a maplins switch, fiddly bugger of a job but not crazy difficult, there's a good guide on here man ;)

Yeah I remember when I was sound deadning my doors a couple of weeks ago Its quite tight in there with big hands :)

the electrical side of things is really easy it's just soldering 2 wires, the difficult bit for me was getting the switch in exactely the right position before crewing in place, and as said the removal/refit is tight
