  • Oh yes The real deals.. Good ol' BBS et30 offsets on 19s lol

  • There never was an RS8. Dunno why people call them that. They're just Audi A8 wheels. Replica's obviously. I wouldn't get rid of a set of Spiders that are made properly for a set of reps that most li

lol. well mine are silver, its the new black don't you know!

Seasachc I think your current tyres are a bit too small mate arent they? Dont you have 205 45 17's so the size difference from standard may not be too much different

and of course A8 all the way, love mine, everyone has a good looky as they go by

wheels are in position as they would sit on the car top are front left and right, bottom, are the back ones left and right, full set of 5

My spiders live in the spare room :D

Lofts rite mate, i missed that, spiders should be wearing 205/50/17s or 225/45/17s

Keep botth :)

You may regret it and feel the need to buy another set and then refurb say...... Gloss black :D

Well just picked up some vw rs8 ?? type wheels basicly been chasing them for a while same as lofty but these are 18's with 225/40/18 et 35

but currently i have spiders with 205/45/17 et 38 i dunno, but i think i'll be selling my spiders as i've had them for a while now

with the et being 35 will the wheels sit more inside the arches or out also the wheels are 1" and 3/4 bigger from ground up

The spiders have the wrong size tyre on, they should be either 205/50 x 17 or 225/45 x 17. When those correct tyre dimensions are fed into a tyre calculator against those on your A8 replica wheels the difference is virtually zero.

As mentioned there was never an RS8, they are replicas of bog standard Audi A8 D3 alloys.

Not really a fan of multifit wheels, they do tend to be very heavy and are not as strong in the central wheel bolt area due to the extra holes.

Ah well when i got the alloys thats the tyres that was on them so i just stuck with that tyre size, what would the outcome be from using 205 45 17's currently on the spiders ? as nothing rubs or anything like that

youll have a bit more torque, but when speedo says 50mph you prob doing 42mph

  • Author

Well when i had the sat nav on it was like 2 mph slower at 70, but you might have a point there

That are the whole wheel looks abit small for the car :D

But on a good note... When the 18s go on with 225/40/18s they'll look even bigger ;)

i do like the fact that they fill the wheel well more

optically highly pleasing. even if it knocked my car to half power, id still keep em on.

but i havent noticed power drop

haha :D 135k and running like a dream, give or take a vac leak or 2

all the comforts and looks and none of the running costs xD

I've just ordered a set of Revolution Millenium 11's 8x18's in silver, as someone said earlier, silver is the new black!

http://www.google.co...r:33,s:0,i:188.

Hope that link works!

And because they're proper competition wheels not only are the strong but light for a wheel of that size, @ 9.3Kg the only 8x18 wheel that's lighter is a compomotive (9.1Kg)

I also happened to be in the right place at the right time, (bankrupt stock sale) and bought 4 "part worn" Pirelli Corsa's P Zero's 225-40-18's, for around 30% of their full price, first time I've ever seen part worn tyres that still have the manufactures stickers on the tread!!
