Nope, just enough to stop the jets popping out of place @140mph.

As for the photo's i dont have the tools to shrink the pic's so i can post em up, sorry.

Steve

Nice idea, good price, let's have them pics - Cheers Steve :D

I'm dabbling with the idea of putting a fan on it, but not had time to find out if there is enough room :(

Marks thread so check it out :D

the fan would probably be bad at high speed, blocking air

Hmm, surprised about that as that's how the one on the normal rad works ;)

but the rad has a much bigger surface area to it and it won't affect performace as much, not to mention the fact that they designed it so they would have worked out what sizes are needed with and without a fan

GENIUS.

Idea might be good for the furby as well. The rear screen is poo. No longer after you clean it its black again.

Also like the idea it uses the stalk too.

Will have a look :D

It's a good start.

Watersprays activate on temp's hence they work when needed. Chances are your going to be pushing, at which point washing your windows will obscure for a second or so. It's good though, if you can alert when temps rise then no need for a controller, as you would be that controller :D

But perhaps a maplins project board, thermal probe, relay and tclip into the pump control will make this an even better solution. But then you are getting to the realms of a waterspray controller/kit anyway :D

Wow thats a cool idea. I am loving the thought of using the stalk, very stealth and convenient!

Is araldite a special glue?

Roll on summer :)

Is araldite a special glue?

Yup - super strong and waterproof too I believe :D Available at your favourite local DIY store....

Chris

Thanks Chris.

I'm excited about this mod :)

I use rain wizard on the front and rear screens anyway and the water just rolls off

does sound like a funky idea, can just imagine the guy behind wondering why the rear wiper is going but no waters coming out....lol

how about the fluid in the bottle though, surely you still need a certain amount of cleaner for the windscreen ?

IIRC Badger Bill told me a % that was fine and wouldnt harm the IC.

Tried to upload pic's but having problem's due to being crap with a computer.

Ive pulled the fuse for the rear wiper , to stop it operating .

For trackdays its a cheap option,on the road some might be be worried about having no rear wiper, easy........go to local breaker and buy a washer bottle and motor {

Thanks again Nick,

In the last pic you can easily see both jets, the left one mounted on an L shaped bracket off the grill support, this gets the middle-top of the IC, the bottom one mounted in the bumper gets mid- bottom,

Steve

Tnx for the pics :D

As for finding something to auto-drive this ;)

Here is something I spotted: http://www.electronic-kits-and-projects.com/1048.htm

It's adjustable to the kind of temperature thresholds you'd want, which is good.

Only catch would be that you would want to probably link in an extra feed to make sure you have water in your bottle, as otherwise you'd just be emptying it further.

Price seems decent enough as well, and I'm thinking it could be put inside a small box that can be waterproofed easily.

You can purchase it pre-built. That said, it still requires you to connect up the power to it.

Also, you'd probably want to extend the wires to the probe it uses so you can attach it somewhere :D
