Felicia 4 branch

Featured Replies

is there anyone making these still, i bought one from another club member and after removing it a couple of time to repair i still cant stop it blowing.

It also runs very close to the rack boots, wondering if anyone else has had 4 branch woes and if its possible to buy one rather than getting one made from an exhaust spesialist

Hi Dave

They are expensive from Czech - I think James paid about £350 for his - but they are available. As you have the flanges there (the 'difficult' bespoke part) it would be possible to re-create it using stock tubing and a 4-1 collector; it's what I would have done had I not bought James's old one from him. If you did it yourself it wouldn't cost too much, but even having an exhaust place make up the parts it wouldn't be too expensive; I got the system I had on the Felicia made up for £80 by giving them a standard system to take the angles from and they made it up from 2" stainless tube for me. If you make a jig up for the flange position and the outlet then it'll be easy enough to keep everything where it should be.

Being near the CV boots was par for the course, i think - both manifolds I had on the Felicia suffered the same thing, it just meant that boot needed to be changed more often than it would normally (about once a year, I think).

I bought my first one through the small ads in Motorsport News (this is the one that Darren bought). Current car has a stainless manifold from these guys. Wasn't cheap, but is a nice piece of kit. They shipped to the UK - I paid by bank transfer.
