vRS Buying Advice...

Featured Replies

Hey All,

I'm new on here so first of all, hello!

I'm looking at getting rid of my overly common Corsa D and replacing it with a Fabia vRS :)

I'm looking for one with under 25,000 on the clock, and have £7k to play with, I love the Special Edition but I believe there wasn't many of those made?...

So on to my main questions:

Are there any common faults to look for when buying?

What's a good price to pay for a Fabia vRS with around 25k on the clock?

Do they come with cruise control as standard?

Is there anything else I should be aware of when buying?

Hopefully I can get hold of one soon and start modding again, ready for my euro road trip next year :)

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi and welcome,

Best advice I can give you, is to use the search facility. Genuinely, there's dozens upon dozens of similar topics and hopefully they'll answer your questions :)

25k I would expect to pay at least £6-7k

Make sure it drives straight and doesn't pull to the left as this can be a bent rear axle.

Might struggle to get one with under 25,000 on the clock since they are all at least 5 years old now.

They made 1000 special addition models.

i believe there is a guy on here selling his. its modded to 200bhp but its done 50k been looked after very well.

ROS53Y his name. its on piston heads i think, and auto trader.

A 2007 non SE is more sort after than an SE because there is less than 200 plus they are the newer ones so probably be able to get lower miles, as for 25k tho you'll be hard pushd mayb 35... Anyways it's irrelevant really because if there looked after these will easily see 200+k :)

Not many Fabia VRS's with 25k on the clock tbh. But there is a 05 plate on autotrader with only 21k on the clock. I am also sure that i saw one advertised some where with only 17k on the clock but cant remember where i saw it

Yeah If I was looking I think I would go for as late as possible with slightly less than average mileage just to keep the price of the car fairly reasonable (some get stupid) also the highest spec as well... They always make things a bit nicer :)

Yes, go easy on the throttle

I paid £6,800 from a main dealer for a 55 plate with 23k on the clock, had FSSH too, So maybe around that price for a private 56/07 plate would be reasonable if the mileage matched
