Engine and cabin panels insulation

Featured Replies

My 1997 Felicia needs badly new sound and thermal insulation, because the original one is crumbling.

I am referring to underside bonnet, firewall, interior body shell, and doors insulation.

What materials do you recommend for a proper job?

I have attached illustrations for reference (original sound absorber parts).

I have to mention the most affected insulation is that on the firewall, under battery, and under heater. Moisture took its toll, so I need a material that resists to moisture and heat, it is soundproof and easy to cut, crease, and glue.

I am thinking of something like that:

but I need to find European insulation materials.

Isn't anyone interested in this kind of upgrade?

Judging by how many people downloaded attached photos, it's very odd...

i am for mine as i am going to make mine a van and do away with that foam under the dash and engine bay as i getting it full resplayed and mine are in poor state apart from the bonnet one
