I keep a close eye on a number of cars in the classifieds, this is one of them. If you could afford to run this thing its a total bargain, especially as it has the 6k B&O system. Love it to bits! :love:

I don't think Manny's would be a V10

Running costs would be huge, but if you used it as a weekend treat..............

I'd just use it to listen to my music...with that stereo. Oh..and the occasional start up to hear that V10...

I'm guessing that the A8 is the barge, and that the S8 would have some form of extra handling package to cope with the power

I know there will be down sides to it,and running costs will be a major issue, but the soundtrack of the engine would go some way to compensating for that

Failing that, just cruise, let the people outside listen to the burble of the V10, while you're smashing out tunes on the B&O

Do it. I've bagged a test drive in the old V8 RS6 by being 'interested'.

Probably the best interior of any car on the road. These big luxury barges depreciate faster than a lead balloon but i suppose this makes them viable for mere mortals.

Think i would still prefer a V10 S6 Avant. Dogs and baby paraphanalia dictate this but these A8's are still one of my favouite all time cars. Would the V10 sound as good as the lambo or R8 version? I would imagine it would be somewhat muted in comparison what with all the insulation. Would love to try one and find out though.

B&O was £3775 in the S8

The one with Ceramic brakes will be very expensive to maintain, the A8 eats discs and pads at a fair rate of knots and Ceramic is expensive to replace. They are also not very practical around town as they need heat to work efficiently.

had B&O in my 2008 A8 it was a crystal clear sound but sadly lacked bass

had ceramics on my S8 last year totally fine in every respect and handled more than i could ever throw at them

both those cars are still too expensive IMHO

paid £14,750 for my 56 plate S8 V10 over a year ago

Note to self. Do not trade the vrs in for it.

They are Mega Cars, we have a 2month old one at work which i "have" to use every now and again to do some errands!!

They can manage 30mpg at a steady 70mph, but can drop down to about 8mpg if you "press on"

They do handle much better than the regular A8, but can feel a little on the "large" side for progressing cross country, but you soon get used to them.

Oh forgot, that sound under full bore acceleration has to be heard, and thrust felt.
