Power steering fluid .... Any?

Guys i have to get power steering fluid ?

Is there anything i need to look for ?

Has to be dealer green stuff mate, and they call it hydraulic fluid. Anything else will burst the rack

£7 a litre but you will have some left, mine took 650ml

Now my plans changed i got shed loads of it. Am in work on wed if it helps?

Ill dig out my bills n see what i payed for them.

Why be an oils snow too lol. Just ask abot a price for the quantum longlife 5w30 or quantum platinum 5w40. A lot cheapper and its in 5l bottles.

Might have a spare bottle of that too and a filter if you want.

I am a little tps atm

yup green stuff i was caught out on this last year when i put the red power steering stuff in and had to get the seals in the rack changed luckily it never damaged the power steering pump

OK - same position here - need to get some power steering fluid into the car.  Local garage has generic Comma and STP stuff but no labelling to confirm it's suitable for the Vrs which wants G 002 000 according to the manual.  Nearest Skoda dealer approx 50 miles away.  any advice or to I have to drive to Dundee/Aberdeen?

Put it this way... i needed fluid in a hurry and topped up with wrong one... to get me home from night work without killing the pump.

It killed the seals and made a small leak 10times worse... 

 

Get the right one. Carlube do a version of the correct fluid - green...
