R32's are really nice looking cars but... if the performance is important to you i would get a 1.8t and do some mods (much faster!) and if it's the looks then a normal Golf gti turbo will do - there are loads of companies that make R32 bumpers that look fantastic. Mike @ IP has a golf gti with r32 bumpers and it looks the badgers nadgers ...and a turbo big enough to suck the smile of any r32 owners face as well

I've not really found R32s to be that fast myself anyway

R32s are faster than Type-Rs....and Type-Rs are fast...the R32 has been labelled the daddy of all Type-Rs.

As an update to a previous post on this thread the same guy at work has bought another R32!! They must be pretty special as an all round package as he sold his last one because of excessive fuel consumption but has since decided its worth it!!

my A4 was cheaper than an octy II TDi much cheaper than even 2nd hand r32'2

Saw an R32 today and got all lovey dovey again. They are the best looking VW product IMO. (apart from a VW Karman Ghia of course)
