You would need a capable OBD lead.

I would imagine you could do some damage - dunno for sure though.

If you shorten the link a bit and have a rummage around it looks like the webspace of a UK Seat owner.

I'd recommend the new Custom-Code version of this software now as it has the ability to load and save settings to disc so you can always revert back to previous settings or save different programs for fuel etc.. Have a look on the custom code website under downloads.

This screen grab should give an idea of the extra features:

Any software, even standard. However you will only be able to use it for increasing boost on cars with Custom-Code. Other software will already be set at 100%.

Sorry mate a couple more questions ,

Can it be used like/instead of SPS3 {which im thinking of getting} i.e

timing settings for certain fuel types {Optimax etc}?

Are there any recommended settings for above,

Thanks

It can be used for fuel settings. There's no recommended values, you need to make changes and then log them using vagcom much as you need to do with an SPS3 to get it right.

BTW if you just want to be able to change the map for fuel types then you can use an SPS2 and if you have a look at my sig I have one for sale! ;)

I want to be able to play with boost aswell , :)

If you have Revo then the only way to increase boost is with an SPS3. Custom-Setting will allow you to decrease boost with any software but only increase boost on cars with Custom-Code.

That software looks very similar to the Revo one.

Eddy, ive got 4 bar Revo dont suppose you know what gains over standard 4 bar map the SPS3 will give.

Also i want to get VAG-COM, do you download this from Ross-tech site?

If so how much? and where do i get the cable?

Thanks

It's new and improved! Useful additions include warnings, descriptions and most useful in my opinion the ability to save and load from disc.

You can get the Shareware (read only) version of VAG-COM from the Ross-tech site, and you need to register it for the read/write version. All details should be on the Rosstech site. You can also buy a cable from them, but there are alternatives such as eBay and www.andywhittaker.com, although these will likely only work with v3.12 of VAG-COM - I don't find this an issue, but it may depend what you want to use it for :D

More info available in the stickies in the My Diagnostics forum :D
