No one's mentioned s2000 or mr2s yet..

I wouldn't mind a dc5 though insurance maybe little difficult.

S2000s are ridicoulsely expensive to insure, i found mr2s a bit mehhhh

I was 1800 to insure a dc5 import

Think ots between a cupra r, edition 30 or a cheap s3 npw, all the jap cars i like are to expenaive to insure for the time being

The tsport has a lift cam as same as the ep3!

So its not that fact, honestly i could outrun ctr's in gear! And who said on the road! I took it to track days and 1/4 mile runs

I love the sound of the t sports, a fella local to me has a modified one, exhaust and induction kit of some kind, lowered looks lovely. However I was surprised when I outrun him in gear in my fabia, knowing that they are quicker than type Rs. Wasn't a one off either as we covered a few miles before going separate ways. He then contacted my friend to say how well my car went. Fabia still surprises me.

Should outrun a mapped vrs my one could pull away from my mates hybrid fabia vrs running 200bhp,

However i had a k+n typhoon, fidanza flywheel and helix clutch! The flywheel made a Nice difference

But you have to admit they sound tremendous and a supercharged one would be nice! I want one!!

I was surprised myself, not keen on the wheels for the kompressor tho. My brothers mates dad has one but have never been in it.

mk1 S3 & LCR? prefer the Edition 30 myself, newer platform etc

Naaa newer shapes with the 2.0tsi with 265bhp

Preffer the edition 30 aswell.....theres something about them, would be tempted to wrap matt black

oh, mk2? then despite the S3 being classier, I'd quite like the LCR. although the Edition 30 is very nice...

Yeah the s3 us a nice car but i dont think id want one.....although its awd so itl be more managable with big power

Tempted by a cupra k1 but they look like their trying to hard

Whereas the golf is a perfect balance

£10k S3? Surely a high mile cat D? When I looked for a mate £10k got you the dregs. A clean looked after Golf or Leon over the S3 at the budget for sure.

Yeah the fheaper s3 s wernt the best examples

Il get my dad to have a look in the vw system and see if he can find a good one for a relativly good price......plus il probably get a better deal on it than i would otherwise :) the perks of having a vw sales manager for a dad :)

So are you still looking at this?

Have you considered something like a bilstein B12 kit and if you really want it a remap?

Would see you likely a lot happier with the fabia. Somebody on here fitted a B12 from the group buy to the fabia. Ask shark for more details on the kit.

Anyway, I just think that you seem to be looking at cars, that will cost more.

You might as well put the money to one since, wait until you've got 4 years and enjoy what you have. Year four is usually pretty reliable, it's once you get beyond years 5 that things start to need replacing. Certainly I don't see any other cars mentioned being any more reliable.

Already got springs, a remap, an intake and exhaust on it

After the hpfp went a few months back iv never felt confident in the cars reliablility again, especially with the amount of fabias having problems

Gone away from jap cars though everything i REALLY wanted was imported and to expenaive to insure

Have you considered the Celica GT-Four ST205?

I had one a few years back, it was a good drivers car. Reliability was excellent, the weak points are the figure of 8's (suspension bushings) and the synchro mesh, apart from that there isn't much to worry about. Parts are cheap and It's comparatively cheap to own. They're deceptively fast, and the gearing is long compared with evo's/sti's so It's also quite refined for a homologation car, also very comfortable on long journeys.

The handling is nice and neutral, no clever diffs to interfere just good old 50:50 AWD. Just make sure your awake when it does finally let go lol

My mate had a gt4 and only sold it a few months back.....infact it was actualy while having a play with his gt4 my fabias hpfp decided to give up and slam into limp home mode :(

I did consider them but when u had a look there were very few that actualy looked in a decent condtion

Oh an come to think of it another mate has one in the garage getting the engine rebyilt with forged compoants after it went bang

Supercharged civic type r ep3 . You will see 300 bhp! I just bought a supercharger for mine, had to get one after going out in my mates supercharged type r . He had to sell it now though due to becoming a daddy!

A mates mate is building a 500bhp dc2 for trackdays

Iv been checking your build thread regularly for updates :D

I'd go with an ED30. S3s for £10k must be dogs surely? GTI interior is a whole world better than the Cupra I think as well and for arguements sake, internet heresay reckons the ED30 is the better option vs an R32. Although a blue R32... Mmmmmm.

Ed30s are out the question now, cant get insurance on one yet its no problem on a reguler gti

However as there cheaper il have extra money to k04 it or even a gt30 :D

Don't look as pretty though. The (Imola?) wheels are possibly the ugliest wheels ever fitted to a car ;)

  • Author

The wheels would be changed for oz superlegera style wheels

I quite fancy wrapping it matt black with dark red wheels and trim pieces

I hate the whole "stanced scene" so it will be lowered enough to improve handling and have no camber whtso ever. Quite fancy a side exit exhaust out the front bumper

Oh the whole stanced scene is ****! They put stupid stretched tires on that are made by ****ingtyres china! Stuff that!

Then lower their car soo far you couldnt possibly have fun in it!

Waste of time

But all those cool kids with corsa Ds do it so it must be awesome.......... Nahhttt

I hate going to "cruises" now most of my mates have high powered rare import cars an yet everyone seems more intrested in the 50 stupidly lowered corsas with a horrible bonnet bra, horrible wheels, camber thatakes it look like the deloren from back to the future.....all show no go :( and dont get me started on the drivers......their all YOLO clones aswell

No its not that that gets on my nerves

Its like audi tt's / golf r32's slammed into the tarmac running stupidly stretched nankangs cause its cool

Handling and grip are stuffed!

Personally wouldnt run nankangs on my wheelbarrow
