Got a annoying water leak on my 02 Octavia elegance hatch, started with the boot being damp on the left hand side near to the cd changer now has moved into the car and the rear passenger seat base is saturated!

Done a search on here and checked the common washer pipe which is intact and isn't used due to my rear wiper not working, the boot seal looks fine and I've followed a guide to filling the boot hinge aputures with silicone where they enter the car, still no joy!

The only other place I can think of next is the roof guttering? Anyone else had a leak around this area?

Car starting to really stink now! Currently got the rear bench out drying off which isnt ideal with two kids to ferry about!

Anyone with any ideas would be much appreciated!

My old estate leaked around the Aerial for the radio have a feel of your head lining at the back

roof gutters under the black plastic cover can leak, think bowders on here had one there, also the tailgate hinge recesses, where there is a gasket between the back panel and the body, can also be an area they can leak, woth sealing that in with silicone

OK cheers for the replies, going to have a look at the aerial and roof gutters if it ever stops raining! Been out and looked at it today and it doesn't seem as bad as usual just a very small patch in the boot,which surprised me due to the amount of rain we had overnight! the car was parked on the flat part of my drive though so don't know if that has helped!

Anyone know how the roof gutters are fixed? Tried pulling on them after removing the end caps at the back but something feels like its going to snap if I pull any harder
