Estate lowering. Droplink advice

Featured Replies

I have a standard 20vt (non vrs) estate which I would like to fit coilovers to.

I've heard that some Octavias need the droplinks changing too. Is that all Octavias or just certain models?

I am looking at fitting a cheap set of JOM or simiar coilovers

Thanks

mine is fine on coilovers, droplinks are not an issue

I have Golf coilovers on mine and as such had Golf drop links fitted and modified slightly.

Should not need to modify drop links if fitting coilovers for your car, unless you go very low then you will have to get droplinks to stop your drive shaft hitting the ARB. The drop link set up on a 1.8T is different to the VRS (I think) someone with a 1.8T will be able to confirm that . You can probably get away with lowering 50mm on std drop links
