Iain,

I have two kids and use 'Sunshine Kids' stow and go's on the backs of the seats - storage for them and no trashed seats for me! About £7 each on ebay. Dont bother with the scuff n stuff version as ours fell apart.

Thats sweet lookin fubar, 7 months is great! I ise h2go sealant aswell tho its only been applied a month so cant comment on overall durability, can say tho that its just as good today as it was the first day i applied it :) i love how amazed folk are by it haha

I though that must be the reason you used it for summer grizzle, tho it looks like a lovely glossy finish! I wanna have a go at that old school simoniz stuff, hear its very difficult bit if used well leaves great protection for ages

Never thot bout usin the backseat storage thing to be honest, thats a great odea tho saves him kickin the life outta it as usual lol

No floor mats!? :o

Looks beautiful. I was going to do mine today (havent done it since a long drive to France and back just before Xmas and its looking grubby :( ). I got as far as stepping outside to start and the bloody heavens opened again. And havent stopped all day since. Still tomorrow looks like it could finally be nice so I shall give the baby a good scrubbing :)

Mats were out gettin cleaned n hoovered silver haha im not that daft! I kbow the feeling pablo, its awful :(

Cheers for the nice comments guys :) Ema for the plastics i use angel wax "AnGel" works great and leaves a nice fragrance! Also, like grizzle said a light mixture of autosmart g101 beforehand to remove excess or engrained dirt!

Littleaid have you ever lookd at the detailingworld forum, its a site all about car cleaning and its great :) iv joined a couple months now and learned soooo much just reading many topics

Stu, Sound like your goimg to have a great wee setup ,really wish i had a garage myself :( what pressure washer you gettting?

Cheers for the suggestion Iain, I'll have a butchers at that site and see what I can find out- we both seem to have roughly the same game plan i.e. jetewash off as much crud as possible before going anywhere near it with a mit, using 'stuff' to soften up the crud 1st. I'm guessing 101 is basically some kind of TFR which you dilute in the normal way? If so I've got some machine Mart stuff already I can try on the plastics before I go at it with the AG army.

Durability isnt the best thats why i use it for summer, winter i use Collinite 476s

Glass sealant i use angelwax's glass sealant H2GO, £30 for 5 litres sooooo easy to apply.

Maybe we should get a Briskoda detailing day organised for summer.

Grizzle, I've bought some anglewax stuff after seeing it recommended here on another thread- might even have been you that recommended them! The glass cleaner is the best I've found and I bought a small bottle of H2GO and did the windows but when I use my wipers they judder a bit on the up stroke- any ideas what it could be? As the car's only less than 3 months old i can't seeing it being the wipers.....Bought some other stuff too ( the quick detailer and the rubber & tyre dressing but not had chance to try those out yet) BTW how come you got 5L? on their site they only offer a small bottle of H2GO for £4.

Cheers

Ade

ah you dont ask you dont get lol, plus i used to do detailing.

Did you polish the glass first??, i usually polish it then give it an IPA wipedown, apply the sealant let it haze for 20-25 mins then buff off then reapeat another 2 times then give the glass a clean with glass cleaner, clean the wipers with IPA job done.

Littleade g101 is just a general all purpose cleaner that is diluted to tackle various jobs, it really is a great product! With the h2go iv never had an issue with the windscreen wipers, try the routine that grizzle has suggested i guess!

Hi Grizzle,

I used their own glass cleaner first, when all that had come off on the paper towel I used another piece of dry towel to polish the screen until it was sqeaky clean and nothing else came off on the cloth. I then sprayed the H2GO on, spread it around the screen, let it dry then buffed it off with a microfibre cloth, so looks like another couple of coats are in order?

what's IPA? only IPA I know is India Pale Ale!

Iain

thanks for the explination on g101- I'll have a look on the tinternet to see if it's the same as TFR (which is alcaline based with all those 'actants in)

cheers

Ade
