hi well i picked her up yesterday the 29 i think ive just bought a go cart with a body shell fitted suppppper got all my bits fitted except the towbar the fitter is in cuba till the new year abbey my dog has really missed a car and today we done around 160ish mls on a egg cup of fuel a few niggles it sounds a bit tinny with the load area down and a bit buffety with windows / sunroof open but will get it balanced shortly trial & error the weather has been +rap and noticed the drl lights have fogged up halfway will check in morning if its a problem will now have to read book to see if im doing things right i have a couple of pictures of abbey but site wont let me post images to big any ideas thanks & plumber if you read this any update on the rally flaps yet merry christmas readers kenny b

common fault, mine do it whenever it's a bit damp, don't think there is much that can be done about it to be honest

Pleased to hear you have the new motor

Sound proofing, well there's not a lot in the Fabia, particularly rear, wind buffet is common with the windows down; our Yeti is even worse for it with a rear window open. Fog light misting is also another common trait, so again nothing to be concerned with.

Oh the rally flap prototype kit has been returned and we're awaiting further contact from the firm. However I would think with the seasonal hols it might be another week or so before I hear from them but when I do, I will let all know.

My Monte will be another 8-12 week but the misting of lights sounds all to common.

It's common across the whole VAG I think. My Seat has had this all it's life (9 years) on main headlights and fogs and they even replaced them as a 'courtesy' when I first bought it. Nothing can be done I'm afraid, it's part of the package. It drove me mad for years as it spoils the cosmetic value but after a while I just gave in.

Wind noise could be aided with wind deflecters?
