Online reg plate supplier?

Featured Replies

Anyone recommend one who do a good job on normal style plates? From personal experiences?

Ive seen the horrendous efforts Halfords do and would like them to last more than a day!

Cheers

Halfords plates on the fabia, been on there year and still look like new.

Never bought a new number plate (other than above) since the new changes have come in so cant comment on previous experience.

why dont you go to a motor factors not halfords. If your looking for leagal plates you will need to send them all the documents so they can make them. My experiance of number plate problems, is not how there made, but how the holes are drilled to fix the plate to the car. I would drill holes in plates for customers if they gave me the original to template the hole's. The bit where people go wrong is not to put masking tape across the bit you are going to drill, to help disperse the heat, and to place wood below the plate and stand on the plate so the drill bit is just touching your soles of your shoes to stop it kicking back up.

The std of plates varies a lot though, mine for example started to fade after less than a year - bought from my local motor factors and have NO holes drilled in them.

I have used:

I use them so i can get the scotland flag on them and a personal message along the bottom, as long as you aint stupid with the fonts its ok, had on 4 cars now and never been stopped for the plates not having a makers mark.

my last set came from here not strictly legal as i have a skoda badge in the border, 3yrs on and they haven't deteriorated one bit!

I've had 2 sets from this guy for the MX5 and

Mrs Grrs SDI. Came quickly, no docs needed.

Only does 100% legal plates with the British standard markings.
