No, take it to a tyre place with a hunter rig. That's what the dealer would do as they don't actually Have the equipment to carry out a 4 wheel alignment.

A Google search should reveal the whereabouts of a hunter rig in your area.

If you want it checked/ adjusted under warranty, go through your dealer. You'll have a better chance of Skoda UK contributing to, or covering cost if you've dealt with them first.

Sarge.

I'd be careful taking a car to a dealers for wheel alignment, can often make matters worse.

I had a MK5 Golf Bluemotion as a company car a few years back, not long after getting it I was unfortunate enough to hit a badger on a dual carriageway at approx 65mph. Car was a little battered but still drivable but it put the wheel alignment out a bit.

Got sick of it pulling (was only slight but enough to become annoying) so ended up booking it into a main dealers to get the alignment sorted. Needless to say car was returned to my office the car didnt pull anymore but the steering wheel was at almost 120 degrees to the right when on dead ahead! Was almost undriveable.

I threw my toys out of the pram and they rectified it the next day; they apparently got their "alignment specialist" to redo the alignment. Poor show. I'd like to think it was a one off but i'll probably take my car to a decent tyre centre next time.

Some dealers do have the correct equipment and know how to use it. Henry's skoda has a Hunter alignment rig. I got my new and my bothers new vrs alignment checked before we collected the vehicles. Never had any issues with my alignment on this or my last octavia though all my tyres have worn evenly.

I'm a long way from the OP so no place to recommend. But as far as getting it done, I found it well worth while.

You may strike lucky and get SUK to pay but whether you get a decent job is another question.

I found the handling transformed, the ride improved and tyre wear since has been much lower.

Even the partner noticed without any prompting, and said how much better it was to drive.

Its now part of my regular maintenance routine.

Does anyone know of a place in Kent (Canterbury area) that has a Hunter rig and as importantly, knows what they are doing??

AB Crush on the A2 did my old car (that's where the dealer sent it) but they weren't cheap at about £100.

Campbell's of deal have it, but I tried several times to book it in and either didnt get a call back, couldn't get a price, etc.

Apparently class cars in Canterbury have a hunter rig - not used them though.

I went to a place in Essex last - £6 to check and about £36 per 'end' for adjs
