Yeti L&K

Featured Replies

BTW. They should have released the 1.8TSi with DSG.

Even if just on the L&K.

The only DSG option on teh L&K is that old uneconomical 140 diesel. Missed a trick there I feel.

You truly have lost the plot - no red though Richard :(

Just found this, although don't know much about this company.

What's a Skoda Yeto?? :giggle:

Skoda Yeto - maybe it's a cheap Chinese copy. BTW not advocating anyone should buy from them, just pointing out that they have the same info today regarding the L&K

Nah, it should get the latest 1.8TSi available in the new A3, that would be nice! :) (although I know that wont happen until the facelift arrives at earliest)

WHAT?

It's the best colour!

Mind you, it may clash with the trim bling.

We need a dislike button, not just a like one.

Yes, I want a Yeti with 132kW 1.8TSI of EA888 gen3,and a DQ250 6speed DSG.

That sounds like the Yeto then! (only joking). Not sure what "EA888 gen3,and a DQ250" are though?

OK - just Googled them and now I'm clued in. Damn it, back in the day I would have know this stuff off the top of my head, like BossFox (and others) do now.

So I've been driving what is basiclly a L & K (Bar the sunroof which wasn't available at the time and some bling) for the past 2 years!

Not sure about the black interior, but looks a good package otherwise.

Yes, only now it's cheaper.

Ah but the sunroof is the best option! ;) Come to think of it, I ticked every options box eccept the tow bar prep so mines an L&K, just without the wheels and dark trim that I dont like! (I know its not, but it makes me feel better if I keep telling myself that!)

Several members of the 'Looks like a L & K, but isn't a L & K, but cost more' club around then

Hmmm looking at the Feb 2013 Yeti brochure I see the L&K does not even have the option for the electric driver's seat!!!!!!! How daft. Top of the range car and then you can't get an electric seat (or as a result the very handy dropping passenger mirror when you select reverse). Does not make sense. Trust SUK to always do something to a spec to totally mess it up.

Had I been doing the L&K spec I'd have had both driver and passenger seats electrically adjustable and deleted the Park Assist. The latter is an option few people living outside a place like London need ever tick, whereas an electric seat is more comfortable (in its range of adjustments) every single time you use it! And giving the passenger one too is just a way to make the L&K more special vs an Elegance as an L&K only feature (whereas PA can be had on most Yetis anyway).

Absurd. :wonder:

I wouldn't buy one without the electric seat now I've had it.

Likewise here, hence being pretty miffed when I realised this anomaly. Grrr

I decided I didn't make much use of the electric seat I have on the current Yeti so would not have chosen it on the L&K I have ordered - however, I was offered it by the dealer, who was adamant that it IS an available option on the L&K! Another case of left and right hands in the bizarre world of Skoda UK?

Phew... that would be good. SUK is a useless bunch when it comes to brochures eh? There is still NO mention in the brochure that you get the dipping passenger mirror with said electric seat either...

I also forgot to add that the Yeti brochure implies you can only have a black interior with the L&K, whereas I was offered black or gobi (I went for black as a better match with the white exterior, in my view, and with the added light that will come from the sunroof).

Still no red though. :(

No, that is true - dealer confirmed that Candy White is the only non-metallic colour available on the L&K. OK, since that's what I wanted!

I've finally ordered a yeti (L&K), and now I'm thinking of adding the electrically adjustable seats. This is mainly because I'll be sharing the car with my other half, and I think it'll bug me to adjust everything manually each time I get in. As discussed above the brochure suggests that this isn't even available as an option which is why I didn't think about adding as an option when i ordered the car. Having seen the post above I asked the dealership to investigate and I also gave Skoda UK a call. Both came back and said that the electrically adjustable seats aren't standard (which would have been a pleasant surprise), and that they aren't even available as an option. This contradicts what Hmibennett was told by his dealership, but us consistent with the brochure . The more I think about it the more I'm keen to try to get electric seats, but this is sounding unlikely to be possible, which is surprising for their top spec car. Anyone know if this is just initial confusion or if what I'm being told is correct. The dealership seem quite happy to adjust the build up until 5 weeks before the build date so I'm hoping the fog with clear soon.

Sorry if i raised your hopes but those who have been on this site for a while will be aware that there is often confusion (or plain contradiction) between the dealers, the brochure and Skoda UK. Worth pursuing if you're keen!

No worries. The dealer is being quite good, we're going to see if electric seats becomes available just before the build freeze date. I don't hold out much hope, but you never know. Funny how 2 weeks after I order the L&K Skoda announce DAB across the range which was part of my justification for stretching to the L&K. Oh well, I like the idea of it now too much to try to change the order. I ordered on the 28th, I guess we'll see who's arrives first.

I was 7 weeks into my order for a '170' 4x4 Elegance with the majority of options, sat nav, sun roof, etc. but managed to change my order for the equivenlent car in the L & K trim and I too was confused with the options.

I wanted the fold down seat option as it was available in the first February 2013 PDF Brochure, however this option has now been deleted! The dealer advised that he was told by Skoda Technical that this was down to the 'special' stiching!

I also asked which alloys came as standard as all the photo's of the Yeti L & K appear to have the silver/black annapurna's but was advised that it was only avaiable with the polished versions.

With respect to the electric seat option, I'm sure I've seen a photo of the L & K scuff plates which include the seat with 4 buttons on it, is this the electric option? I've not had a Skoda previously so these maybe for something else! (Found the photo, now attached)
