Rear door black external cover

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

does anyone know how to take off black external plastic cover from the right rear door on Yeti ? I have some squeeke noise coming out from there. Thank's !

Might it be the door seals instead?

I'm just guessing, trying to find from where it comes, it happens every time I'm going over some humps or holes on the road, in the area of the right rear door.

What should I do with the door seals ? Take it off completely and then put it on again, maybe changing the position ?

Some people have had creaking from the front door which responds to lubrication of the door seals-as a test you could simply try some rubber lube.

My front drivers door makes occasional noises which seem related to the fuse board cover touching the door card.

I believe that the plastic may well be bonded to the door frame, so removal is unlikely in that case.

The lubricate the door rubbers get some silicone spray (Gummi pfledge, Mr Sheen) and spray that on them.

There have also been reports of a "clatter" noise from the rear door locks. Wrapping a piece of plastic insulating tape around the bar part seems to be an effective cure, and later models have this from the factory.

I did try with silicon spray, but it didn't help.
