Getting my 54 plate Octavia vrs on Friday and would like to buy a Carbonio CAI for it straight away as seems easy mod to start with, where is the best place to get from possibly next day delivery if possible and what specific part number etc do i need to qoute?

I am a newbie to forum and any help would be greatly appreciated, is this mod worth it etc etc

Carbonio can be had from Awsome GTi (follow the Buy online link at the top of the page).Not sure about delivery times,also can't say if it's worth it,i'm still saving the pennies for one.Apparantly it will make it sound nice though(tiiiiiiiiiish,like a scooby ).

Got mine from Awsome GTI. Went in person and mentioned Briskoda for a small discount. they sound a lot better with an alloy dump valve instead of the Bosch plastic one. Ask awsome about their Hyperboost HX recirculating piston DV.....

Performance wise, on it's own, probably not. You will get more noise, and pickup may be improved.

imho, the biggest bang per buck is on a remap. but it depends how much cash you have available, and whether you want to make other changes before remapping.

Delivery is about a week form Awesome GTI. You get more induction noise, no noticable power gains in a sense but you do get a significant reduction in turbo lag which means more torque throughout the rev range. Personally go for a re-map 1st as the ecu will adapt to the extra air intake. I thnk i am right in saying though that if you intend to add a high flow d/p and cat or FMIC get the map done last to accomodate and get the most from the engine.
