Hey guys, recently got my car mapped and my egr delete put on, found out also that it had already been mapped (terribly apparently).

Loving the map thats on it now, but ive noticed for a few days now that since ive had the map every time i turn the engine off it judders a fair bit for a second, friends have noticed it also.. I keep telling myself in my head its because of the egr delete but i honestly have no clue thats why im asking you guys, any one have a clue?

Yes it's because of the egr delete. The standard egr system also has a anti shudder valve to stop the noise your experiencing. So when you fit an egr delete that goes too. Perfectly normal and won't do any harm. Mine also does it.

Ahhhh i know i definitely read something like that, thats probably why my brain was telling me it was the egr delete.. haha! Cheers for clearing it up for me so quickly mate

Yeah, it just means your engine is stalling a little harsher than normal. You get used to it. Mine's been doing it for almost 6 years now.

would uprated engine mounts be necessary/ideal just as a preventative measure, or anything else to look out for?

Its really strange mine is the same since i deleted the egr but i have noticed that on the odd occasion the engine shuts down quietly i would love to know why and how it was doing this so i could do it every time. Evry time i turn my engine of i cant seem to replicate the quiet shut down.

Try turning it off with the clutch depressed, this helps ease the judder!

Where did you get your remap done?

Its luck something to do with engine cycle. Sometime shuts off smoothly sometimes its lumpy. Just a side effect of the egr delete and nothing to worry about
