steam cleaner on mk1 vrs seats?

Featured Replies

H,i has anyone tried one of them wee steam cleaners on their vrs seats? Last time I did mine i used my wifes Vax carpet cleaner with the upholstery cleaner head. Did ok but not perfect.

Worked ok but tbh some diluted APC a bucket and sponge with a wet vac after worked much better.

I wouldn't be using anything wet this time of year myself, no thanks!

Mine haven't been ever bad enough to need anything but a spray with foaming upholstery cleaner, then wiped clean with a warm damp sponge in the spots where there are any marks.

Are they really that bad ?

when i did my back seats last week i used 1001 to get any marks off then used a Karcher carpet cleaner with an upholstery head and dried them indoors near the fire :) job done no watermarks etc.

Karcher is the best, you can dry them out by leaving a fan heater in the car overnight.
