Shark are have an excellent reputation for mapping VAG cars and are a site sponsor. Highly recommended.

I used the STS system on my 2011 Octavia vRS and found it very simple to use to toggle between the 3 maps:

Performance

Immobilisor

This will work with most cars that Shark can map via the OBD port. If you are not sure ring them to find out if your car can be mapped this way.

I returned the Octavia back to the original map, which is one of Sharks requirements of re-using STS unit.

The STS unit retails at £150 on top of the map for your car.

AFAIK they do not need to be racilbrated. The only requirement is the car the performance map was used on, is returned to stock.

The STS can then accept a new performance map for the new owner.

Just to clarify - You need to purchase a new map from Shark to use this STS. The saving is £90 on the actual cost of the unit
