400+HP from a MkI Fabia,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Featured Replies

is it even possible? I've seen one member on the forum who claims in his sig to have 450HP from a MkI Fabia vRS SE. Could it even be done, could the running gear, engine, steering etc handle that much? Thoughts?

Confusion between bhp and lb/ft ?

I remember another VRS SE having 400bhp before. Yep, it wasn't bhp. :D

what were the figures for your old SE, Richard? My lowly 1.9TDi Ele is at 125HP and 220ft/lbs.

mine was 180 maybe more roughly! with cupra intake green panel filter and a jabbasport remap some other crap! i have seen some pushing 225 and websites claiming to have a 250bhp ferby : / i think it would be stupid to have 400?? i was shredding tyres, ripping out engine mounts and wheel spinning in 3rd all the time!

400 is rubbish, its tough enough to get past 300. I should know as I've been trying for a long time - Might be finally past it in a couple of months time.

Everything that guy posts all seems to be codswallop! Almost all of them make no sense and verge on spamming.

Bit of a clown really. And he calls himself mr.e (mystery)

Richards SE was 260 bhp

Devonutopia will be pushing 300bhp in time for castle Combe but I don't think you could get much more than that.

i remember Devonutopia he had a silver one! but it wasnt a VRS it was just made to look like one but boy it was a beast

FTFY :)

The only believable 300hp 1.9 I've seen is that cupra floating around on YouTube with the custom camshaft. Jason are you modifying this?

Last time I checked my fabia had something like 900bhp.

And it can fly too.

I hope you gave Kirk the finger as you overtook the Enterprise. :)

His "welcome" thread mentions custom rear suspension using some titanium alloy and a potential 4x4 conversion.

so it is possible that it may exist and its no longer a TDI although my vote goes with

It's only possible if he's slotted a TFSI engine plus a GT3071 in there. :giggle:

wasnt a petrol was it?

wasnt a petrol was it?

No, it's been converted to run on fairy tears.

And pixie dust

And pixie dust

Yes, that's in place of the oil, mixed in with unicorn blood.

400BHP in a MKI Fabia.......................YES no problems!!!!

Rip engine/running gear out......................

insert tuned 1.8T and running gear from audi TT/MKIV Golf..........................simples.....................

Infact the engine can be tuned to over 600bhp!!!!......Jabba's was about 600bhp!

300+ bhp and 700Nm ( 510ftlb) is possible. I saw it at a rolling road in Miltonkeyns. ( sorry no graph) Then went bang. Everything in the room was sooty. including the cups we had our tea in. Big turbo, Big injectors and 300 shot of Noz.

You would need special twin/triple plate clutch for it to last. On road it would spin wheels before damamaging to much of the drive train. On the drag strip with drag tyers may be different. it might need the headbolts replacing with studs.

If you dont want it to drive to work every 400bhp should be posible. Probably not a good idea to let one near the road.

Torque tronix had a modified diesel rally car, had so much torque when then put good tyres on it rip the whole thing apart lol

Thanks. I had not heard of them. But checked out there web site. I will give them a call when it's time for the next upgrade.

Only 400 bhp?

I've seen Fabias (Mk1s and Mk2s) with 4wd and 550+ BHP.

0-60 in about 2 seconds!

Just a shame they are not road legal. :(

Ok well I come from the seat side and yes it would be possible to get to 400bhp from a pd130 but it would cost the earth to get there.

I know of a few people on seat Cupra.net running 300+ out of the pd160 Cupras but lots of money has gone into them 10k plus.

Even to get above the 200 bhp mark in the real world your talking alot of work
