Jabba Sport Remap issues/problems?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys an Girls,

Just a question... Looking to buy a MK1 VRS that's already been Remapped by Jabba Sport and wondered if anyone has ever had any issues with this?

I know Jabba Sport are a good reputable company so I can't see why there would be.

Also in terms of remapping, are there any long term side effects? Like will the turbo die quicker etc etc...

Thanks

If driven hard the clutch/flywheel could be goosed, then again the may be fine.

Turbo is under more strain but again that might be fine aswell.

Nope Jabba know their stuff and the map should be fine.

You'd need to make sure that your insurance are away though as it's a modified vehicle now.

Remaps increase wear due to putting more pressure on everything.

Turbos and clutches suffer more than anything but if it's been treated nicely by it's previous owner and maintained properly it shouldn't cause any real issues.

My car has done almost 127,000 miles and has had a Jabba map on iot for the last 80,000 miles and has never missed a beat.

Nice one pal, the fabs has only done 44k and had the map around 1500 miles ago from what I gather. Previous owner looks to have taken real care with it as the cambelt done at 42k.

So don't reckon it's had much hammer if any at all.

Mine had a jabba map when i got it and my mate also had a vrs at the time and was going round how fast it was and mine wiped the floor with it. There stage 1 maps are very good!
