water in rear footwell

Featured Replies

The wife came home after filling the water bottle with neat water to say the washers don't work 56 plate vrs Fabia. I put it in the garage covered with a blanket, it un froze so I pumped some water out to make way for screen wash perfect. Now she comes home saying the rear wash wipe does not work, I ask if the carpet is wet NO was the answer. So I checked and its the rear off side (drivers side) but all the how to fix's talk about the near side carpet. Anybobdy point me in the right direction please.

you tried pulling the boot trim off? The tube can pop off where the motor is, happened to mine a couple of years back.

May also have popped in the engine bay, and the footwell water be just the standard door carrier leak

The pipe runs up the edge of the rear passenger door on the nearside so it's well away from the offside rear footwell. I find it hard to believe the water would be tracking from the tailgate tot the rear footwell without being obvious elsewhere in the boot area.

Easiest thing to do would be put the plastic trim off the door surround, trace the pipe joint and either open it up or look through the tube (if that's feasible) then actuate the washer - have you got water to that position or not?

(sorry - can't find a photo)

Wino dont think its door carrier leak as we have not had any rain or problems before the freeze, it is something to do with no rear washer, but where do I start pulling apart. ljp01 says the boot trim, looks like my weekend is all took up, Will investigae the boot in search of water, is this going to be a big job

My wifes popped a connector on the engine bulkhead end above the subframe. Personally couldn't get it, it had to wait until it went up on a ramp for its mot, gasrage man could just reach it and connect it up again. Perils of filling without antifreeze in!

When pump ran it just made aa puddle on the floor?
