Injector Recall Question....

Featured Replies

Hi Again,

Just another quick question, (sorry for keep bothering you but the info on here has been brilliant!!)

Did all VAG companies do the injector recall?

Despite looking for an Octy VRS, the mrs is quite keen on the spanish side of things with the 170bhp engine in it!

Thanks again for you help

I believe all 2.0 vag Tdi engines have this recall

But I'm not 100%

G

Thought it was the 170bhp ones only??

Yes all VAG 2.0 PD170 engines are being recalled, the CR170 or any other 2.0 engines are not affected.

This includes SEAT, Skoda, VW and Audi.

Nice car, and in PD170 FR specification are very stealthy!

Hi iv got a 57 plate Vrs diesel. Not sure if it's pd or create is it only the people for the recall, had no problems with my engine and I'm just hitting 80k in it

Your vRS will very likely be a PD. The CR began to appear on the pre-facelift vRS sometime in 2008, but later in the year I think.

If the recall has been carried out on your car check the boot next to the spare wheel well, there will be a sticker with the recall number on it.

If I were you I'd get them done, if they do fail it results in an engine shut down (without any warning), hence the VOSA enforced recall and they are a good few hundred pounds each. As all four get replaced you are potentially saving almost £1000!
