It's here! From hatch to state

Featured Replies

Some months ago, when thinking to replace my company car (2009 Superb 1.8 TSI DSG), I was so pleased with it that I could not think on a better car. So I ordered another one, but only changing the things that could be an improvement.

- From 5-door to Combi: boot volume is more or less the same but the electrically-operated door makes things easier

- Leather upholstery

- Fuel consumption: from TSI to TDI

- DSG reliability: from 7-speed to 6-speed

- From 17"" to 18" wheels

- Panoramic sunroof

- Front parking sensors

Therefore my choice was a Superb Combi (state is called Combi here in Spain), TDI 170 DSG, Platinum Grey, Ivory leather with 18" Themisto alloys. Trim level is Exclusive, which is the top trim level for this market together with L&K; almost everything is included: leather, xenon, panoramic sunroof, park assist, 10 speaker sound system, electrically adjustable front seats with memory, 18" wheels, bluetooth GSM II, tyre pressure monitor, full size (16") spare wheel, hill hold assist, etc

Ventilated front seats are not available, and IMHO I think is a stupid and nonsense decision for Spain. If you have leather seats and live in the South of Spain, you DO need ventilated seats. :@:swear:

Last Friday was the great day. I finally picked it up from the dealer. But Murphy laws are always there, and it was raining a lot :rain: so I could not take any decent photos.

I'm very pleased with all the new toys, specially the park assist and the panoramic sunroof  . I have only done 300 km so the engine is not obviuosly at his peak performance, but the initial feeling is that the fuel consumption is better: it drinks less... but it also runs less, I think I have lost the punch of my previous 1.8 TSI.

I would have liked a 2.0 TSI, but i know I can't have everything  , and anyway I love my new car :wub:B)

Unbeliviable you cannot get ventilated seats in Spain when you can in the UK. I'll probably get to use mine for about ten days a year total when you would use them for over half the year. Madness!!!

Hope you enjoy your new car.
