New VRS Blackline RADIO NAVIGATION SYSTEM AMUNDSEN

Featured Replies

New VRS Blackline

The car comes fitted with the amundsen navigation system

-is the bluetooth and call system voice activated

-do i need a mic installed for hands free operation or is this part of the amundsen

No the blutooth is not activated (but it exists) and a Mic needs to be added. Do a search in this forum as some spent time to explain exactly what is needed and how to do it.

The phone also operates though the Amundsen. I had both steering wheel and head unit controls on my Yeti....l never used the ones on the wheel.

when you use the sat nav and save a destination is it saved to the HDD or to the SD card

when you use the sat nav and save a destination is it saved to the HDD or to the SD card

Neither, its saved onto NVRAM within the unit itself.

Minor thread revival here chaps but am I right in saying that the built in BT on the Amundsen + does noy include voice control? Doesnt seem to work on my Blackline with my Galaxy S III; assume the prep doesn have the functionality?

Nope unless you want to wire it up.....

Where the Blackline differs is that it has the BT module built into the Amundsen + not a separate module under the passenger seat the GSM II and III preps. I suspect the Amundsen doesnt actually support Voice Control, the SE plus vehicles with BT my belief is that they actually have the external GSM II module installed and have the built in BT coded out, hence why they support voice control (GSM II prep does out of the box).
