Panorama

I took this one last week when we were in Northumberland, this is looking across the Aln Valley from Black Chesters to Castle Hill in Alnham.

Handheld with a Canon 50D, 24-105 lens and six pictures stitched using CS5.

Not the widest panoramic, but is 11 pics wide taken on my now old Galaxy S4 mobile. It is amazing how much improved the way these things are stitched together now, even on a phone.

Made a slight detour to the ski fields when we were driving home the other day.

Whakapapa ski village and the famous chateau, mounts Ngaurahoe and Ruapehu - both mostly dormant volcanoes.

It doesn't matter what camera that you have - you just need some software to stitch all the photos together.

Just to echo this, the one's I put up earlier today from Canada were all taken on my wife's iPhone. Picture quality is much better than they appear on here.

Just google it - there are tons of programs and apps for doing it. Most phones will have a setting for it (I know every samsung phone from at least the S4 has it)

Some stitched in camera, most in Photoshop or possibly in Hugin and a stray "planet" panorama to mix things up a bit!

Some stunning stitched photos!

I haven't digitised any from my 6x17, just happy to look at the slides.

I do have a number from the X-pan which I'll have to dig out, but having replaced that with a Leica M8 I don't do much "letterbox" photography now.
