Has any one replaced their headlight bulbs

Featured Replies

Hi there everyone.

I am planning to replace my headlight bulbs. I have two compartments in my light module. Its a Skoda Octy 1.9TDI. There is a small fog lamp and next to it is a big head light which has H4 bulb in it. What i wanted to do is to change the color of the bulb from yellow to Purple, and also the fog lamp color to white. Can i do this easily and in limited money. I cant make up my mind looking at various types of light bulbs on every site.

Any suggestions any one

Thanks in advance.

purple?do mean blue?pretty easy and cheap to do.will cost you approx 15 quid max, make sure they are road legal of course ;)

I changed the H4 Headlight bulb in my TDI Octy for the 50% Brighter bulbs recomended in Auto express , still keep tp the same colour Clear , they do make adifference on country roads and unlit motorways . Not difficult to replace , as per the handbook manual , but be carefull taking the old ones out that you do not drop them into the engine compartment , in future i would recomenf putting a cloth under the light cluster , just in case to stop them falling through . Have not done the Fog yet , but they seem easy too . Fog should be yellow / gold others wise they are no good in fog .

I've changed all eight bulbs in my headlights, not touched the fogs though

Silver vision indicator bulbs

Blue sidelight bulbs, that shine white

Vision Plus dipped beam bulbs

"Special" Main beam bulbs ;)

PHILIPS make good bulbs for cars, called BlueVision. I just got a set myself for mine, they're blue-white lights, and they look outstanding.
