Reboot reg

Featured Replies

Hi, A quick question. I am looking at used fabia estates (a scout to be precise) and have found one with a '10' reg plate. I know the reboot of the fabia came out in 2010 does anyone know if all plates of 10 are going to be the 'rebooted' model, or did some coming out in early 2010 still have the older model. Or if it isn't a clear cut as this are there visual telltale signs that would answer it? Many thanks

The front end are completly different.

Most if not all 10 plates are facelifted.

What you looking at is Headlights frnt bumper/grille

Also so interior is quite different (dash clocks seats radio etc)

I take it by "reboot" you mean facelift. I am sure I have seen 10 plate Fabias that are pre-facelift. But they must be the very last ones. 60 plate ones will all be facelifted.

At any rate, Scout Fabias only came out after the facelift.

Thanks both of you for the info. Saved me a lot of questioning while searching. Much appreciated

For the UK yes

But other markets got a prefacelift one and a hatch variant :)

I saw the topic title and thought of RE13OOT as a registration number...one for someone in IT support?

Sorry for the OT..

A small correction. I just dug out a 2009 brochure from when I bought mine. There was apparently an estate Scout Fabia available back then (pre-facelift) here in the UK, with prices starting at £12,815 OTR.

I can safely say I have never seen a pre-facelift Scout out on the road... I really wonder if any have been sold here.

Just had a quick look on Autotrader. There's actually loads of both pre-facelift Scouts as well as facelifted ones.

Easiest way to distinguish them:

If it's got a 1.4 or 1.9 engine, it's a pre-facelift.

If it's got a 1.2 or 1.6 engine, it's a facelifted one.

Hope this helps and apologies for the confusion.
