Featured Replies

Just some statistics for those that like these things: (ie SAD like me)

20,398 Miles in First year of Ownership

Consumed 3,146.86 Litres of Fuel (692.23 Gallons) at a cost of £4,317.14

Best Tankful 32.27 mpg, Ave 29.45 Worst 25.20 (litres per 100 KM = 7.1/6.48/5.54)

Additional Fuel Cost over that of previous 170 CR Diesel £1,490.91 or 7.31 pence per mile (worth every penny)

Consumables 1 Litre Oil, + Screen wash

Service at 18,600 ish miles <£150

Road Tax £460

Road tax = ouch!

One of the biggest running costs is Depreciation

Just had my 2010 V6 valued and at 39000 miles the garage will offer me £8200 as trade in ie £20,000 lost in 2 years 9 months - big ouch

As its worth more than that to me I think I will keep it !!!

I have "purchaed" mine on a personnal lease contract over three years and 60K Miles.

The "guaranteed" residual is £7,800 which was only £1,000 less than the car I orignally ordered (a 170CR 4x4 with identical spec - except DSG).

However the V6 was 5% VAT making the car actually £900 cheaper that the Diesel car I had orignaly ordered.

I, therefore, feel the deal was not that bad, although a Diesel is more likely to hold a better residual resale if sold privately at end of lease..

This all said I would have bitten Skoda's hand off if they did a 170CR Diesel 4x4 DSG and most probably waited the extra 4 months for delivery..

I love the V6, I knew what I was getting into, so no real complaints.

Christ you could have bought another car with all that money.

bill

We buy any car will give me £8.5k for my 60k 4 yr old 170 Diesel , I reckon I could get £10k private

Probably 'cos it hasn't got HHC....
