I went to buy some Skoda (VAG) screenwash and saw that there are some small (40ml) bottles of VAG screenwash which states 100:1 dilution ratio, which at that dilution gives 4 litres of screenwash,

What it doesn't say is what ratio should be used for different temperatures so I was wondering whether:

1) Anyone can tell me?

2) Is it any good and, other than maybe it's initial concentration, is it the same as the 'regular' VAG screenwash?

If 100:1 is the summertime dilution it is cheaper than regular and also possibly more important having one of these kept in the car is a handy backup should you need to do a top-up while away from your stock at home.

It's for summer. You get bottle of the stuff in Lidl and Aldi for something silly like £1. They last for years.

That's what I use German product like my golf good stuff citrus and apple

It's probably just this stuff rebranded.

Yes, seems like it is the same stuff as Sonax, and certainly the dilution ratio is for summer use.

Until I see reviews for the all seasons Sonax I will make use of the regular VAG screenwash (which works great for me) and in our brief English summer I may use the 1:100 concentrate.

The sonax stuff is fine and won a fair few awards.

Agreed works great and doesn't freeze at all.

Well we've cleaned the screen on both cars and applied 2 much bloody rainx , now got to take it off as wipers are juddering the screen is too clean !

+2 on lidl stuff. 5L at around £5 I make 20L and it still works down to minus tempatures I.e - 8 on one occasion
