Washer Jets

Featured Replies

How do you adjust the direction of the "squirt"?! :)

My washer jets aren't the best, but there doesn't appear to be a straight forward way to adjust them? i.e. Can't be done with a pin?

Is this right & what are the options?

Thanks.

They are fan jets, so I don't think are adjustable.

They could just be a bit claggy and need blowing through with a compressor / airline?

If your jets aren't firing properly and are clogged, try using a needle to get the blockage out, then check the allingment of the jets by testing them before you finish.

It appears to be the alignment that's wrong....the drivers side is fine, but the passenger side shoots over the windscreen!

As Devonutopia states, they aren't adjustable, so replacement might be the answer? Will have a proper look tomorrow, but it's. b****y annoying! ;)

I assume they could come loose from their fixing points? Never had one do that to me before though,

Get new jets from the dealer they are only a pound or two, dont use ebay some cheeky bugger is buying them from the dealer and selling them at a profit!

Yep they cost next to nothing from dealers.

What tends to happen when the jets get blocked, is a plastic insert in the jet pops out. Then screenwash tends to pour out onto your windscreen rather than in a fan. Once managed to recover the plastic insert as it stuck to the windscreen. Pushed it back in the jet, it clipped in place, and hasn't come out again.
