Looking at the car today I noticed a scratch on the bonnet.

Doesn't seem that deep, but think it is slightly noticeable if I run my nail over it.

Cleaned area with some detailler and its still there although as long as the light isn't in a certain direction its barely noticeable (but being on the bonnet this will be often).

Any ideas if I get something like scratch or p1 will it help or cause more of an issue?

Or do you have any other recommendations? Few pics below (probably not much use)

Not that easy to see from those photos; you need one along the length of the scratch really, to stand a chance of seeing its depth.

Can you get your finger nail into it? That's the general rule - if you can't then it should polish out.

Whereabouts in the country are you? Could be that someone with a polisher could have a quick look for you....

I can only echo what Steve has said, if you can feel it then you are going to struggle to sort it out yourself without some sanding and a machine.........:(

The image doesn't look too bad but would need to see if in the flesh and get the machine spinning.......

Try some meguiars scratch x if it isn't through the lacquer.
