Sounds like the driver was concentrating on the gear change rather than the braking - sometimes happens when people don't have h&t completely cracked.

You can here the late braking as well, which tells us the driver didn't feel confident about the approach speed.

I can't agree; drifting is only "safe" when you're in a situation where there is no possibility of a non-drifter being sucked into your shunt. That means a closed course with safety barriers between you and the marshalls (and any spectators).

You've just given me an idea for a custom truck model; Scania R series V8, convertible, chrome side pipes, alloys. I'll be passing on light bars though.
