Hi guys. Was an auto dim mirror/rain sensor ever an option on the fabia? I would like to fit an auto dim mirror and the rain sensor would be nice too?

No, but there are retro fit ones about. I was going to fit a golf mk4 one but never did.Rain sensing is a no no also

Nope, autodimming can be had if you take one from iirc a bora/passat? ebay said minimum £40, I gave up and got some sun shades for the car instead .

Never looked into rainsensor as that probably requires more wiring/electronics than its worth..

i want to know if a mk5 golf rear view mirror fits a fabia .......

if a standard (non autodim) mirror off a mk 5 golf would fit a fabia the new audi a4 do an auto dim mirror that would fit + abit of wiring .....

there is not a lot to the wiring of a rain sensor.. well on a golf/bora anyway. just 3 wires and a new/different wiper relay.

I have seen the mk4 auto dim mirror fitted without the rain sensor too

also from what i can gather the oem mirror mount is set in the glass so the rain sensor wont fit the same as the mk4 golf one

there were two different mirror mounts for the golf. one for normal mirror and one for autodim/rain sensor mirror. the screen needed to be changed if swapping from one to the other
