When you have DSG the amount of time the lever is used in comparison to a manual is minimal so does it realy matter, who drives looking at the thing anyway.

My California DSG lever looks very much like the one from the Scirroco except mine has side button. Personally like the old chrome one ergonically felt nice and does add a bit of 'colour'. The new version just looks bland, which doesn't really work with quirky looking car. Aesthetics, always personal view.

Never thought that the style of a gear lever would cause such a discussion. But, I do agree with Cody, new one bland - old one stylish.

Eeeek now wondering how to remove the gearselector top from my current hero :-S

I'm with yetifabia on this. We also have a Seat Ibiza Cupra with DSG but the lever is far better looking than the fat flat chromy yeti one.

Blimey! Just noticed, in the wing mirror, the colour of the bodywork in the pic I posted. And here's me griping on about gaudy gear knobs. Our SEAT is black. I nicked the pic off the 'net. Honest.

Phew glad I've got that off me chest.
