Offside drivers drive shaft nut

Featured Replies

as stated doing drivers side boot today on vrs 2004 does anybody know torques setting of the drive shaft nut cheers.

hi there. hope the weather stays ok for it, unless you have got the old girl indoors. This info, is taken from the 2007 autodata disc, and is based on yours being a 1.8 turbo 20 valve vrs on a 2004 plate.

Front hub. 2x4 & 4x4 also rear hub 4x4

Use new nut!

1) 225 nm

2) Slacken off & rotate hub.

3) 50 nm

4) 60 degrees

Tighten with wheels off the ground & brakes applied

Hope this answers your query. Good luck.

cheers for that much appreciated yes weather not to bad at moment.

Just tighten it with wheel on and tight with centre cap removef else you will be using the disc support bolt to hold while your trying to tighten it.

Agree with using a new nut aswell as i had one come loose on last trackday i did because i reused an old nut
