One fog lamp?

Featured Replies

Loving the new motor but after 116 miles on the clock, the wife noticed that the nearside fog light wasn't working.

I've got an Elegance 2.0 tdi with the fancy over-complicated xeons!

I didn't even turn the fog lights on and after turning the lights through the various modes, the fog light was out?????????

Unfortunately I can't seem to replicate this.

Been through the manual but it just makes my head bleedin spin!

Any ideas?

Aaaargh!

Your steering wheel must have been turned slightly to one side. When turning the steering wheel with these automatic lights, the relevant side fog light comes on to illuminate the corner, it's called 'cornering lights'.

Happy Skodaring.

Ah, I see (no pun intended).

I was really hoping I didn't have electrical gremlins already. One major reason for leaving Honda for good!

Having read the 'wonderful' owners manual again, it doesn't mention which fog light until you reach the 'Notes' section where it says;

If you engage the reverse gear during the active function “CORNER”, both fog

lights illuminate.

Indeed, the steering was turned to the right with the offside fog lamp illuminated.

Cheers Liebel!

First saw this on a Seat Leon, and thought

a. Why does he have his fog lights on?, and

b. Does he know he has a bulb out?

Thankfully stumbled upon the truth, before embarrassing myself by pointing out a failed bulb!

Yep, feeling suitably embarressed!

Cheers ksr!

I have had two people point this out to me now, and I had to tell that its meant to do it.

Still trawling through through the thick soup of an 'Owners Manual'!

Pity the translated version isn't as good quality as the car itself!
