Was something every octy vRS owner and car mag quoted "It has the engine out of the Audi TT" No one ever mentioned the other zillion cars that have the 1.8T! Did like them at first but seem to have lost the magic.Became slightly feminine and common as an estate agents mini

Seems to have had it's day but going out with a bang.The final special edition red one with the black roof looks rather good to me .Far better than some of the offered versions and with 237 bhp and quattro(I know they all have quattro except for the 150 bhp cheapy)

Apparantly the 237 is coming out of the 1.8T again.I know they did the 180 and 225 but it seems dead easy to for them to get so much out of this engine (as many people prove on here) Presume it is just the usual re map and uprated clutch,brakes etc.

2 more years and these will be ten a penny.Not that there aren't lots around already!

Its not quite as glamerous but they are releasing the cheapest version of the TT too.

180bhp, front wheel drive (200kg weight saving over quattro) and costs 20K
