Bumped for vxh26,  to further his extensive knowledge on the Oil Issues with the Twincharger, and his lack of Search Engine ability.

Yup, much as I expected - a two year old thread about the DSG gearbox being presented as about excessive oil consumption.

 

As Gadgetman so pithily put it - "Pass the popcorn".

2 year old because that was when the case was. 

& read what the Case being raised was.  not how Volkswagen Australia fought it.

He raised it on Engine & Fuel Issues.  Consumption & Running of the Engine.

 

The Issues and Fundamental Design Issues that have been occurring since 2009- and over 2 years ago are ongoing this very day.

 

(As to the DSG,

Since that case there was a World Wide Recall on the DQ200,

but that was only a Service Campaign in some Regions of the World, including NZ & Europe.

Extended Warranties in some Countries, Excluding Mainland Europe & the UK.)
